Why people look for an alternative

Canva is where most small brands already design their posts, so its Content Planner, the Canva social media scheduler, looks like the obvious next step. People start comparing when they find that the planner schedules a design but has nothing to say about which design this week needs, and that it schedules to fewer networks than they post on.

Where they are strong

Canva is the better design tool by a distance: templates for every format, a drag-and-drop video editor with Reel templates and Beat Sync, Magic Studio for images, text and video, and a free plan that millions use. If the work is making a post look right, nothing on our side comes close, and we do not try.

Where they fall short

Scheduling is the thin part. Content Planner needs a paid plan, schedules each design to one platform at a time, and Canva’s own current help table marks only Instagram and Facebook as schedulable there. Nothing in it picks the topic, scores a trend or writes the hook.

Choose them if

  • Design is the bottleneck and you want a template for every format.
  • You already work in Canva and post mainly to Instagram and Facebook.

Choose MyTrendView if

  • You want Reels built for you from your clips, stock video or photos, without an editor.
  • You also schedule to TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest or X.

You can run both. Many people schedule elsewhere and decide here.

Questions people actually ask

Can Canva schedule social media posts?

Yes, on a paid plan. Canva’s Content Planner schedules designs on Pro, Business, Education and Nonprofit plans, not on Free, one platform per design, and Canva’s current help table marks Instagram and Facebook as schedulable there; other networks get direct sharing. MyTrendView schedules to eight networks on every plan, Free included with a monthly cap.

Can I create a Reel in Canva?

Yes. Canva’s video editor has Reel templates, Beat Sync and AI text-to-video, and you edit the Reel yourself. MyTrendView works the other way round: you pick a scored trend and the app renders a 1080x1920 Reel from your own clips, licensed stock video or photos, with the hook on screen and a branded end card.

Is MyTrendView cheaper than Canva?

MyTrendView is priced in euros, with a Free plan and three paid plans, and the numbers live on our pricing page rather than here. For Canva, the table above links their live pricing page. We do not copy the number over: a price checked once quietly turns false, and holding a current figure against a stale one proves nothing.

Can I use MyTrendView and Canva together?

Yes, and plenty of people do. MyTrendView covers the step before the post exists: what to make, why it fits your business, and the first line. Canva keeps doing its own job around that. Two subscriptions usually cost less than one tool stretched over two jobs.

Your next post is already trending somewhere.
