Deletion of User Data

You have the right to have your personal data erased under Art. 17 GDPR ("right to be forgotten"). This page explains exactly how to request deletion of your MyTrendView account and what data we remove, retain, or anonymise as a result.

The fastest way:

1. Sign in at mytrendview.com/login.
2. Open Settings → Account.
3. Click Delete account and confirm.

Your account is queued for deletion immediately. All access tokens to connected social platforms (e.g. YouTube) are revoked at Google within minutes.

If you cannot sign in, or if you appear in our public-data scrapes (creators / competitors list) without being a registered user, send an email to privacy@mytrendview.com (English) or datenschutz@mytrendview.com (Deutsch) from the address you registered with, or with enough information for us to identify your record (e.g. social handle, channel URL).

We confirm receipt within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days, in line with Art. 12 (3) GDPR.

On confirmed deletion we erase from our production databases and object storage:

- Your account record (name, email, hashed password, profile picture, language, time zone).
- Your brand data (connected website, industry, brand description, target audience).
- Your generated content — video plans, frames, hooks, captions, scripts.
- All images generated on your behalf in Cloudinary, removed in cascade by their cloudinaryId.
- Your OAuth tokens for every connected platform; for Google / YouTube we also call Google's token-revocation endpoint to invalidate the token on Google's side.
- Your trend, competitor and creator lists persisted under your brandId.
- Your refresh-quota counters and task / activity history.

Some data must be kept after deletion for limited periods. We rely on Art. 17 (3) GDPR exceptions:

- Invoices and tax-relevant records: 10 years (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB). These contain your name, billing address and VAT-ID but are isolated from the product database.
- Anonymised server / access logs: up to 14 days, then fully deleted. IP addresses are truncated and not linked back to your account.
- Encrypted backups: rolling 30-day window. Your record is removed automatically from backups as they roll forward; it cannot be selectively pulled from a single backup snapshot.
- Suppression list: a one-way hash of your email so that, if we receive a marketing instruction, we do not re-contact you. Required by § 7 UWG to honour your objection.
- Legal-hold data: records subject to an active legal claim, regulator request, or ongoing fraud investigation.

When you delete your MyTrendView account we revoke our OAuth tokens, but you can also remove our app independently at any time:

- Visit myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Find MyTrendView in the list of connected apps
- Click Remove access.

This stops MyTrendView from being able to call YouTube on your behalf even if our token store has not yet been purged.

- Within minutes: OAuth tokens are revoked; you are signed out of all sessions.
- Within 24 hours: account is soft-deleted; product data is no longer accessible.
- Within 30 days: hard deletion from primary databases and Cloudinary.
- Within ~30 days more: data also rolls out of encrypted backup snapshots.

Once deletion is complete the operation is irreversible. We do not maintain a recovery mechanism for deleted accounts. If you wish to use MyTrendView again afterwards, you can register a new account; it will not inherit any prior brand connections, plans or content.

If you believe we have not handled your deletion request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for MyTrendView GmbH:
