Best time to post
A full week of hours instead of one best hour. One hour is always somebody else’s audience.

How it works
Pick the platform and say whether you sell to businesses or to consumers. You get a seven-day grid of hours shaded from best to quiet. A B2B audience is awake on the commute and inside the working day; a consumer audience is awake in the evening and at the weekend. Those peaks sit hours apart, so any single best hour is wrong for one of them.
What you actually get
A seven-day grid of hours, not one number.
Separate patterns for B2B and consumer audiences.

Five things that make this work better
- Treat this as a starting hypothesis. Your own analytics beat any general benchmark after about three weeks of posting.
- Post consistently at a mediocre hour rather than sporadically at the perfect one. Consistency compounds. Timing does not.
- Convert the grid into your audience’s timezone, not your own. This is the most common mistake and it costs whole posting schedules.
- For B2B, the commute and the first working hour beat the evening. For consumer, the reverse.
- On TikTok the hour matters less than most guides claim. The algorithm keeps surfacing a video for days, so the trend window outweighs the clock.

Questions people actually ask
Where does the data come from?
It is not a dataset. The grid is the general rule of thumb for each audience type: business audiences on the commute and inside the working day, consumers in the evening and at the weekend. A starting point, not a measurement of your own followers.
Should I trust this over my analytics?
No. Once you have three weeks of your own data, use that. This is for the weeks before that.
Does it cover all seven platforms?
The picker offers five: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook. What shifts the grid is the audience type rather than the platform, and on TikTok the hour matters least of all, because a video keeps getting surfaced for days.
