X, with the caveat up front
Seven networks here are read from public signal. X is the eighth, and it is the exception.
Free plan, no card. Fourteen days of Signal to start.
What is different about X
The window is the shortest anywhere. A post is live for minutes, not days, and volume is the price of entry: six posts a day is normal here and would be spam on LinkedIn. Reach comes from replies and quotes rather than from the post itself, and a link inside the post costs reach on principle.
The number-first claim
What we read, and what we do not
We do not read the trending feed on X. Access to it is paid and restrictive, and saying so here beats implying a feed we do not have. What you get is the topic, taken from public signal on the other networks and from search demand, scored against your business on the same five dimensions, and then shaped for X.
- No X trending feed, and no claim of one.
- Topics from public signal elsewhere, scored on the same five dimensions.
- Post shape, length and cadence from the platform rules, checked 2026-09-06.
- Engagement rate and creator payout calculators built for X.
Hooks that work on X
The flat claim, stated without hedging, because disagreement is distribution here. The number first, then the sentence that explains it. The thread opener that promises a specific count and keeps it. All three are text: this is the one network where production cost is a sentence.
“We answered 400 messages by hand last quarter. 38 of them booked. The other 362 were the job.”
What you actually get
Topics scored for X, with the caveat at the top rather than in the footnotes.
Text hooks in three shapes, not a video script reheated.
A cadence that fits X: up to six posts a day, not one.
X engagement rate and payout calculators, free and without an account.
A worked example
The number-first claim
XProduction feasibility is almost perfect because the artefact is one sentence. Velocity is high because the window closes in hours. Platform fit is the score keeping it honest: the same claim needs a face and a cut to work on TikTok.
“We answered 400 messages by hand last quarter. 38 of them booked. The other 362 were the job.”

Questions people actually ask
Do you read what is trending on X?
No. Access is paid and restrictive, so we do not have that feed and do not pretend to. The topic comes from elsewhere; the shaping, the cadence and the numbers are specific to X.
Can I publish to X from here?
Not directly. Plan it in the calendar and post it yourself.
Is X worth it for a local business?
Usually not first. It pays for software, finance, media and anything sold to people who read for a living. A salon is better served by Instagram.
Then why does this page exist?
Because the rest of the work is real: what to post, how long, how often, and what the numbers mean. One feed is missing, and it is named rather than papered over.
